Venezuela interested in developing joint projects with Russia
MONTEVIDEO/MEXICO, Jan 25 (PRIME) -- Venezuela is interested in continuing to develop economic relations with Russia amid “an international blockade”, the country’s Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza told PRIME late Thursday.
“The cooperation between Russia and Venezuela has been both deep and sincere ... Let our bilateral economic, financial, commercial relations continue and further expand on the back of an international blockade,” Arreaza said.
Russian ambassador to Caracas Vladimir Zayemsky told PRIME that all Russian joint ventures in Venezuela are working as usual.
On Wednesday, Venezuela’s National Assembly head Juan Guaido declared himself interim president and was recognized by the U.S. and a number of other countries.
